Thumbs Up™ is an image and multimedia database solution, available in single-user, client-server, or web server versions. Powerful tools enable a company or organization to truly reap the benefits of leveraging their image or multimedia assets. A rich feature set significantly heightens productivity and efficiency, whether for sales catalogs, cell research, or criminal apprehension.

Employment of industry standard compression formats and an innovative design enable millions of images, whatever their format, to be archived cost-effectively and retrieved and displayed at outstanding speeds, particularly over networks. A double click on an image thumbnail instantly displays a screen res image. Animation, presentations, video and digital sound files can be accessed quickly for instant playback. A single click enables users to access and work on a high-resolution image with the creative application of their choice.

Customizable multi-criteria searches, quick sorts, and reordering capabilities enable users to create and view collections of assets. A single digital multimedia file can be represented in multiple collections. Each collection can have over 132 user-definable fields unique to that database. There are Alphanumeric, Date, Time, Boolean, Integer, Real Number and Text fields available. Video, animation, or voice-over files, as well as any other file type such as a Word document can also be attached.

Thumbs Up supports text and image import and merge from other databases, as well as powerful export utilities.

Sophisticated database access control is provided for system security. Administration is simple and the backup tools are robust. Support of industry standard ODBC calls by Thumbs Up Server also makes data sharing possible.

Graphic Detail provides Intranet and Internet support for Thumbs Up as well as the experience and professional resources required to bring your database to the Web. We provide custom development for support of SQL databases such as Oracle ™ and SQL Server in addition to the low maintenance 4D database.

The datafile is upgradable at no cost from single-user to client-server and we will also allow you to upgrade during the first year from Professional single-user to Enterprise single-user for $500 (no price penalty).

Client-Server versions require a dedicated server machine, and begin at $1865 for a 2-user Pro Version and $3785 for a 2-user Enterprise Version. A 50-user system costs $22,745 for the Professional version and $46,745 for the Enterprise version. Call for other quotes.
